Updates on travel conditions in Europe

Rail Europe, together with the European train operators, can help you travel safely by giving you all the main prerequisites and necessary information for your trip.

Below you can check the main European Governments’ rules and guidelines for a smooth travel.

We still advise you to book flexible tickets if you want to exchange them in case of restrictions imposed by your country of origin or destination.

All travellers coming into Italy need to fill out a self-declaration form regarding their health status. You can access this form here

When your customers travel by Thalys, please check the travel rules for France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium on each government’s website as travel restrictions apply.

All Thalys tickets purchased up until 27 June 2022 inclusive may be exchanged until the departure of the train. However, any difference in fare will be paid by the customer and for Mini fares a 5€ fee per ticket will be charged.

If the train has been cancelled, tickets may be exchanged or refunded (refund request to be submitted no later than 30 days after the travel date).

When your customers travel by Eurostar, please check the travel rules for France, England, the Netherlands and Belgium on each government’s website as well as the rules to travel abroad from the United Kingdom here.

If your train has been cancelled on any date Eurostar will issue an e-voucher valid for 12 months. Please submit your request within 60 days of your initial outbound travel date.
