How to Read a Train Seat Map

Below please find European train seating plans, which you can use as a guide when choosing your train seat preferences.

Seats are automatically assigned at the time of booking. After the booking is confirmed, seat changes are usually not allowed. However, some rail carriers like Trenitalia, Renfe, Iryo, Eurostar, and Italo may allow seat changes with an additional charges depending upon the fare type.

Passengers can also check with the train conductor on board if a seat change is possible, depending on availability.
