Trenitalia name change

Customers will be able to modify the names of the travelers (first name and/or last names) as a usual aftersales operation. 

CONDITIONS:

• Most of the flexible Trenitalia single trips are eligible to a name change operation.
• Roundtrips are not eligible to the name change operation for the moment. 
• If a booking contains more than one item, this operation has to be done item per item.
• If the booking contains one item eligible and another not (for instance one Trenitalia item and one SNCF), the edit traveler operation will be allowed on the Trenitalia item only.

THE PROCESS:

For all the eligible TI items, you will see a new button, “Edit travelers” in the “After-sales” tab :

This aftersales operation is very similar to a classic exchange except that you will modify the names of the travelers instead of the trip.

Only first name and last name are editable. (Free children are not editable as they don’t have a proper ticket)

Once you enter new names please check and confirm the modification:

Once the new travelers information is confirmed, new tickets will be created with the same PNR but a new ticket number (only for the updated travelers).

After a successful edit traveler operation the booking status will be “modified” and you will get the mention “Travelers updated” at the item level:
