Spain: delays & disruptions
Renfe:Alternative road plan on the Zaragoza-Teruel-Sagunto line and the C5 in Valencia due to Adif infrastructure works
Renfe has designed an Alternative Road Transport Plan to guarantee passenger transport during the improvement works on the Zaragoza-Teruel-Sagunto conventional line, which Adif will carry out between February 17 and November 17, 2025. These works are incompatible with rail traffic, so the company plans to maintain road services with buses, minibuses, and VTC (Vehicle-Rail Transport).
All services on the conventional medium-distance line in the Zaragoza-Teruel-Sagunto corridor and those on the Valencia commuter line C5 in the Sagunto-Caudiel section are affected. The various services will be provided by road:
On the conventional medium-distance services of the Zaragoza-Teruel-Sagunto line, the vehicle distribution will be as follows:
- Between Valencia and Zaragoza: intercity buses.
- Between Calamocha and Cariñena: minibuses.
- Between Encinacorba and Cariñena: VTC / Taxi.
The towns of Calamocha and Cariñena will serve as connecting points for travelers who need to change from bus to minibus and vice versa on certain services.
This Alternative Transportation Plan will involve modifications to Renfe's regular service schedules and changes to travel times, which can be found on the company's website.
Likewise, stops in various locations have been modified to offer better service.
