Book Deutsche Bahn Groups online

We have launched a new feature to book Deutsche Bahn group bookings online through your Easy Rail Access portal. 

The interface offers an intuitive workflow same as SNCF online group booking.

We are pleased to present you this new functionality in this article. 

Details of booking DB groups online with RailEurope

  • You can now issue DB Group bookings online between 10 to 30 passengers (for more passengers the request will be handled offline).
  • Access to popular intercity and regional trains (availability may vary based on journey origin and destination).
  • Two fares available: Super Sparpreis, Sparpreis. Seat reservations will be included within the ticket price.
  • Immediate e-ticket retrieval: e-tickets will be accessible immediately after booking.

  • Non-refundable and non-exchangeable once the grace period has ended.

*Please note that there is a 180 minutes grace period for full refunds.

Select GROUPS on the homepage, review the groups conditions and click on CONTINUE TO GROUP DETAILS:

Fill in the mandatory fields about your group information and tour leader*, save and continue to the trip details:

* The tour leader information could be updated before issuance.

Create your itinerary by indicating:

  • The origin and destination. 
  • Departure date and time (We now offer a schedule flexibility).
  • The travelers numbers and types of passengers.
  • Class of service.
  • Train number (optional)

All the trains available are now displayed. Select the train and fare needed:

Once the fare is selected you'll find the fares conditions, the details of the train and of the price.

You can now put your booking in hold by using the HOLD TRIP button:

You will be asked to confirm your reservation by a pop-up box:

You have now a Ticketing Time Limit. Your booking status is "IN PROGRESS". The last minute date to issue your booking appears with the details of your booking.

Enter the email addresses who should receive the confirmation and send the email  (only if you wish, it is not mandatory).

Once you ready you can issue the tickets:

Once the booking is confirmed, you will be able to set-up your confirmation mail  (only if you wish, it is not mandatory) and download your tickets. Your itinerary status is now "INVOICED". 

Aftersales

In case you request a refund, it can be done easily in the system:

Using the after-sales tab, select "Refund" and the products which need to be cancelled and request quotation:


*Please keep in mind that there is a 180 minutes grace period for full refunds.

After checking the after-sales summary, the refund can be confirmed:


Once the refund is processed a confirmation email is sent and the booking status becomes "Refunded".
