How to book an Eurail/Interrail seat reservation on ERA? (Trenitalia , SNCF and Eurostar)

      Eurail seat reservations are not required on regional trains. They are, however, required on High-Speed Trains, International cross border trains, some panoramic trains, and ferries. Seat reservations are offered at a discounted Rail Pass only rate.

      Currently, seat reservation can be purchased for the following carriers on ERA:

      - Trenitalia

      - French Domestic TGV

      - French International TGV

      - French Intercites

      - Eurostar

      - Lyria

      You'll need the Mobile Pass number to book seat reservations. Make sure you booked the Mobile Pass before starting to search seat reservations.

      Enter the arrival and departure cities, the departure date and time,  and the passengers types. Then, click on "Already have a rail pass".

      Select your Rail Pass and start your search.
      *The same pass applies to all passengers

      On the results page, you can see if your trains require a seat reservation or not. Please note that rail passes are not accepted for all journeys, meaning that you may need to buy a full fare ticket.

      Select your fare and class for further details and fare conditions. Then add the ticket to your cart.

      Once that's done, you can Add New Products or Go To Cart.

      You'll find the Trip summary in your cart. Add or remove products if necessary. When you're ready and you've double checked the ticket information. Continue to traveler details.

      The booking appears now like "Created". Enter the travelers information and the Pass number

      Make sure it matches the information on the traveler's passport. You will not be able to modify this later.

      Pass number -You must enter the mobile Pass number.

      Confirm the travel agent contact information and save.
      This information is used for booking and for ticketing purposes

      Review all the details entered and Continue to hold & payment.

      You are now "Prebooked". You can place a Hold or Pay Now.

      • Hold:

      The amount of time your hold can be kept will be indicated in you choose Hold.

      You can access your booking in the "My bookings section. Click on a booking when you are ready to finalize it.

      Click Finalize Booking to select your payment method, confirm your billing information and continue to payment.

      • Pay Now:

      You can pay in Allowance or select a credit card (if you added a credit card to your account).

      Review your Billing Information and Continue to Pay.

      The booking is now "Invoiced". It's time to create your confirmation email.

      Please make sure to reread your email before sending it. At this step, you can also download the tickets if you'd like.



      AFTERSALES
       

      You can acess your reservation in "My bookings". Select the After-Sales category and choose refund.
      Select the item(s) and the passenger(s) to refund and request a quote.

      Please check the quote to refund selected item(s) and choose your action.

      *Eurostar / Thalys seat reservations are only exchangeable.

      SEARCH RESULTS / TICKETS STATUS

      Once on the results page, you will be able to identify if the trains require a seat reservation or not / if your pass does apply or not.

      Please find below the different status:

                 "Seat reservation required" when the passholder fare is available through ERA.

                 "Pass does not apply" for the full fares.

                 "No seat reservation required" when the passenger can travel for free.

                 "Seat reservation available at station" when we redirect the customer to the train station to buy the supplement.

                 "Need to split the journey" when the 2 segments have different categories.
