- The highest point is 2'033m at Oberalppass and the lowest point is 585 m in Chur
- 291 Bridges (Highest bridge: Solisviadukt 85 m and Landwasser Viaduct 65 m / 142 m) and 91 tunnels (15.4 km, longest tunnel is the Furka tunnel)
- 8h from St. Moritz to Zermatt (291 km) with a 31.9 km Cog wheel stretch

Since 1 March 2022, every passenger on the Bernina Express has been receiving a surprise package at their seat! This contains an exclusive Bernina Express herbal tea with herbs from Valposchiavo and Lindt chocolate hearts, packed in an attractive Bernina Express Box.
III. Individual Fare Types

- Seasonnal prices. Fares vary according to date, time and route.

IV. Booking horizon
These trains can be booked up to a 180 days in advance (without seat reservation).
Please note the reservation is available up to 300 days in advance for Bernina express, and up to 100 days in advance for Glacier Express.

V. Reservations
Seat reservation is compulsory on Swiss panoramic trains
- Bernina Express:
- The supplement for travel in the 1st class or 2nd class panorama coach is identical
- The supplement includes a catering service at your seat
- Reservations not required for normal cars (without panoramic windows)
- Glacier Express:
- The supplement for travel in the 1st class or 2nd class panorama coach is identical
- The supplement is higher when booking Excellence
- It varies depending on the season
