Book SNCF Groups online

As you know we have launched our new tool for group bookings on your Easy Rail Access portal. 

The new interface offers an intuitive workflow as well as more flexibility especially for SNCF Group bookings, for which we developped a new functionality.

We are pleased to present you this new functionality in this article. 

Benefits of booking SNCF groups online with RailEurope

  • You can now issue SNCF Group bookings online up to 60 passengers. 
  • Introductory offer: same reduced booking fees as for individual bookings on Easy Rail Access.
  • Extended Ticketing Time Limit (up to 46 days before departure – TTL application depends on booking creation date and departure → TTL conditions)
  • You can now reduce or increase the number of passengers at the time of ticket issuance or after invoice for groups of up to 60 passengers.

Please find below the different steps to book an SNCF group booking now:

Select GROUPS on the homepage, review the groups conditions and click on CONTINUE TO GROUP DETAILS:

Group information

Fill in the mandatory fields about your group information and tour leader*, save and continue to the trip details:

The tour leader information could be updated before issuance.

Itinerary

Create your itinerary by indicating:

  • The origin and destination. 
  • Departure date and time (We now offer a schedule flexibility).
  • The travelers numbers and types of passengers.
  • Class of service.
  • Train number (optional)

CASE #1

If you are sure of the final number of pax, you can be 100% autonomous on your group booking:

Save your itinerary and click on "View schedules":

Select your trip

All the trains available are now displayed. Select the train and fare needed:

Once the fare is selected you'll find the fares conditions, the details of the train and of the price.

You can now put your booking in hold by using the HOLD TRIP button:

Please note that the number of passengers can't be adjusted after this step:



Set-up email

You have now a Ticketing Time Limit. The last minute date to issue your booking appears with the details of your booking.

Enter the email addresses who should receive the confirmation and send the email (only if you wish, it is not mandatory).

Manage your booking

You can manage your booking by using the "My bookings" section in the Groups tab.

Use the Quick search to find your reservation or filter by Ticketing Time Limit, Modification Date or 1st date or travel.

The TTL is clearly identified in blue and will appear in RED from 15 days before departure to advise you that the PNR is going to expire.

Open your booking and your itinerary to issue or cancel your booking.

Booking confirmation

Once the booking is confirmed, you will be able to set-up your confirmation mail (only if you wish, it is not mandatory) and download your tickets.

CASE #2

If you are not 100% certain of the final number of pax, make sure that you indicate it in the "special needs" section and the Rail Europe groups team will take care of your request.

After-sales

You can now refund your booking partially or totally in the system.

Use the "My bookings" section in the Groups tab and the Quick search to find your reservation.

Open your after-sales tab and click on "Refund":

Select the number of tickets you need to refund and request a quotation:

The quotation offers a refund according to the after sales policy. After reviewing the eligible refund amount, confirm or cancel the refund.

*In case of strike you'll be able to manage your refund as well in complete autonomy if the train is cancelled,

May I increase or reduce the number of passengers in my itinerary?

You have now the possibility to add or remove passengers directly in your itinerary through the "EDIT" category if your booking is in "HOLD" status:

If your booking is "INVOICED" you can use the "REFUND" function to refund it.
