Please note:

Due to a landslide that occurred on Sunday August 27 on the railroad track in the commune of Saint-André in the Maurienne valley, rail traffic between Saint Michel de Maurienne and Modane is interrupted for an undetermined period.

All Frecciarossa services between France & Italy are cancelled until further notice.

I. Routes and Travel Times

Since December 18, 2021, Frecciarossa train has been operating two daily round trips between Paris Gare de Lyon and Milan Centrale, in the morning and evening. These trains serve the stations of Lyon Part Dieu, Chambéry, Modane, Bardonecchia and Turin Porta Susa. From June 1, 2022, it will be operating three more daily round trips between Paris Gare de Lyon and Lyon (both Perrache & Part Dieu).

  • Frecciarossa trains can reach the speed up to 300 km/h. Frecciarossa 1000 is the fastest one and can reach a maximum of 400 km/h.

III. Individual fare types_________________________________________________

Tickets are issued as Combined Ticket (ticket + reservation) Reservation is compulsory Open Ticket not authorised onboard Frecciarossa..

Modes of printing available

Ticketless (you receive a confirmation by email, no need to print it but you must give the reference and a proof of ID to the Train Manager. However if you do need to exchange your ticket locally yo will need this email confirmation printed). Passenger’s name must match the passport.

IV. Booking Horizon____________________________________________________

  • Please note the booking horizon can be shorter due to timetable changes in the 2nd week of December and June

VII. Check-in procedures_______________________________________________

  • There are no check-in or customs procedures before boarding Frecciarossa trains however we recommend to arrive in advance at the station.
  • Ticket control and passport checks will occur on board the train.
  • Train coach doors will close 1 minute prior to departure for all Trenitalia domestic long-haul trains (Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca, IC, and ICNight). Access to the train is allowed until that time and no later.
