I. Features

Rail travel in Italy (domestic routes only) valid on Frecce, Intercity Day & Night, Eurocity Switzerland- Italy, Freccialink. Not valid on regional trains.


Passes

  • Easy and Comfort classes:
    • Easy: Standard class, 2nd class, couchette
    • Comfort: Any class of servces (Standard, Premium and Business, 1st & 2nd class, couchette, sleepers)
  • Validities:
    • 3 journeys in 7 days
    • 4 journeys in 7 days
    • 7 journeys in 15 days
    • 10 journeys in 30 days
  • Days are consecutive from the first booking.

  • Passengers type:
    • Adult: between 28 and 59 years old
    • Senior: 60 years old or over
    • Youth: 13 and 27 years old
    • Child: up to 12 years old

II. Child rules

  • A maximum of 2 children (children aged between 4 and 12 on the date of purchase) can be added to each Adult Trenitalia Pass free of charge.
  • If the holder of an Adult Trenitalia Pass wishes to travel with more than two children aged between 4 and 12, it is necessary to buy a Youth Pass for the third and subsequent children.
  • Children under 4 are allowed to travel free of charge provided they do not occupy their own seat.

III. Eligible Party

  • Anyone outside of Italy resident.
  • Proof of citizenship can be established by a passport/identity card. Proof of residence can be established by a government issued residency document short or long term provided it covers the validity of the Pass.

V. Benefits

Trenitalia pass includes the cost of seat reservations. A trip is one journey.


VI. Conditions of use

  • Ticket can be a PDF on A4 format or on a mobile device
  • The first journey must be booked within 11 months of the date of purchase.
  • From the date of your first booked journey, you have the number of days indicated by the type of Pass purchased to make the journeys available.
  • Journey bookings can be requested at Italian ticket office
  • The Pass is personalnon-transferable and nominative.
  • The Pass must be exhibited to Trenitalia personnel at the station or on board, along with a valid foreign identity document and the reservation for the train where the customer is travelling.
  • Please note, trips cannot start  before midnight on the first day of validity of the Pass and must be completed by midnight on the last day of validity.

VII. Reservations and Supplements

  • Before travelling passenger needs to book their reservation locally at the station.
  • To ensure better availability, please book all of them as early as possible
  • In the future, a new booking flow will be implemented to allow reservation through the pass itself

VIII. Aftersales

A 80% refund applies to totally unused passes. Request MUST be submitted before the booking the first journey. Thereafter no refund possible.
